Michael Collins Joins Building Industry Advisors - 8/16/12

Chicago—Michael E. Collins, an investment banker with a practice focused on the window and door industry, has joined Building Industry Advisors, LLC (BIA), as a partner and the Managing Director of the firm. Collins was previously with Jordan, Knauff & Company and will continue to be based in Chicago. BIA was recently formed by its affiliate, Building Industry Partners, LLC, a Texas-based private equity fund. Both groups maintain an intensive and singular focus on the building products industry.

Building Industry Advisors provides a complete range of investment banking services to building products companies, including the sale of companies, divestitures of subsidiaries, acquisition advisory, private capital placement, debt restructuring and strategic advisory services. Building Industry Partners is a private equity firm with a sole focus on providing capital to building products companies. The transactions it pursues include growth capital, recapitalizations, management buyouts, buy and build acquisition strategies, control and non-control investments in transaction amounts of $10 to 100 million in value.
